CIRCOR International, Inc. Position Summary

The Senior Quality Manager will take the lead in managing the Quality program, processes, and organization for the Monroe site. This role is dedicated to bolstering the Operations of the business while harnessing the tools of the CIRCOR Operating System to facilitate systemic process enhancements throughout our organization. You will collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders on a daily basis. Above all, this position will be instrumental in championing the needs of our Customers and will be a valued member of the Monroe Leadership Team. Learn and comprehend technical aspects of our products. Ensure the quality of our solutions, products, and processes. Responsible for ownership of CAR (Corrective Action Report) and SIR (Shop Incident Report) systems as well as all non-conforming actions. Own VIR (Vendor Information Request) process where possible and support engineering colleagues when VIR process exceeds scope of quality role. Ensure readiness for audits and certifications. Drive RCCA as standard work. Develop the team assigned to the business line. Drive transformation projects, including but not limited to inspection process changes, MRB process improvement, Gauge Calibration development, revision of quality management system, and ongoing certification to ISO 9001 and / or other QMS standards. Manage and maintain NDT processes, procedures, and certifications. Establish and maintain positive relationships with key customers (internal and external). Partner with customers as required to assist with problem-solving by determining root causes, implementing effective countermeasures, and follow up. Support on-time delivery with timely completion of QA document packages. Train and coach all associates on building Quality into Operations. Continually improve processes to ensure efficient process flows and 100% FPY of documentation. Partner with supplier performance engineering colleagues as required to assist with problem-solving by determining root causes, implementing effective countermeasures, and follow up. Build solid relationships with our third party and customer inspectors both to understand their needs and facilitate releases for shipment. Assist Operations to reduce the number of customer-reported quality issues (VIR’s, SCAR’s LOA’S) to improve customer-vendor scores. Work to simplify processes with easy-to-understand language and allow for flexibility. Effectively communicate and interact with all levels of the business. Have a proactive approach to problem solving. Additional tasks, projects, and responsibilities as assigned by direct supervisor or upper management.

Candidate Requirements

Knowledge & Abilities

Familiarization with Defense contracts and specifications is a plus. Experience with inspections related to contracts, NDT processes, ISO, and other government technical documents to ensure compliance is a plus. Must have leadership ability, capacity for strategic thinking, ability to foster innovation, time management skills, and unquestionable integrity. Six Sigma and / or Lean experience, and root cause corrective action training. Formal training in the Toyota Production System/Lean Manufacturing is a plus.

Education & Experience

Experience as a quality manager in a manufacturing / industrial setting, with a minimum of 5 years leading a team. Experience in quality excellence, ISO Audit & certification, and MIL-I-45208 knowledge. Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing experience heavily preferred. Formalized certifications are a plus. Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, and prioritization skills. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of formal education and experience.
