ABOUT THE ROLE: The Virginia Department of Agriculture is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Sourcing Consultant to lead and support sourcing initiatives by gathering requirements, developing comprehensive solicitations (e.g. IFBs, RFPs, RFQs), and drafting Statements of Work. The role will work closely with internal stakeholders, finance, and vendors to ensure alignment of sourcing strategies with organizational goals and compliance requirements. Candidate will develop solicitations that clearly define the background and objectives of the procurement, provide a clear scope of work, and utilizes appropriate terms and conditions. Skill Required / Desired Amount of Experience Experience in sourcing, procurement, or contract management Experience in developing and managing the end-to-end solicitation process including IFBs, RFPs, RFQs Experience in drafting, reviewing, and finalizing solicitations and Statements of Work Proficiency in MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Excellent writing, communication, and analytical skills Experience in procurement processes and contractual terminology Understanding of Virginia state procurement policies Knowledge and understanding of the APSPM Knowledge and understanding of the VPPA Seniority level
