$120,000.00/yr - $135,000.00/yr Role Purpose
HSSE Sr. Manager will be responsible for implementing and managing HSSE for one of the JLL’s global WORK DYNAMICS accounts. The most important objective of this role will be ensuring that our employees and sub-contractors return home safely at the end of their working day.
The role is highly visible, and the work is fast paced. The successful candidate must ensure that critical stakeholders, such as employees and clients, receive timely, relevant information and appropriate counsel for HSSE Matters. They must have an acute eye for HSSE risk and be able to foster as strong culture health and safety and deliver world class HSSE results, improved productivity, and flawless execution.
Day-today accountability is to the JLL Account Director with regular reporting on HSSE performance across the account. Other key stakeholders include account, Engineering, Risk & Compliance, Finance, HR, Projects, and Client Corporate Real Estate Team leads.
What This Job Involves
Performance
Implement Regional WORK DYNAMICS HSSE strategic objectives and bring them to life for the, ensuring effective operational relevance. Manage and reduce operational risks across the account by providing guidance and advice on health and safety risk management at all levels. Provide technical advice on relevant HSSE issues and communicate notifications of changes in legislation that will impact service delivery and/or client occupancy. Ensure a continued working knowledge of relevant current legislation. Identify improvement opportunities and support the account team in identifying practical cost-effective solutions and controls for HSSE risks. Ensure building related risk assessments are in place in line with legal requirements and Client Regional Risk Control Standards Manage account for incident and accident investigations. Organize, implement, and maintain an effective account HSSE communication plan. Develop and implement an account strategy to align to with the One Team S.A.F.E.R. Together strategic initiatives.
Leadership
Foster a Culture of Safety across the account. Proactively develop and manage client relationships ensuring expected service levels are achieved. Deliver an exceptional quality of service to, as reflected by client feedback. Embed JLL WORK DYNAMICS HSSE requirements and meet client requirements and standards. Establish effective relationships and work co-operatively with the Account Teams, organizations, and 3rd party vendors. Ensure 3rd party vendors maintain compliance with JLL WORK DYNAMICS and HSSE Standards at all times. Ensure Account CPIs and KRIs are met, ensuring metrics are properly maintained and shared with the client and Account Leadership. Ensure client specific reporting requirements are met. Actively participate in Account leadership meetings.
Standards
Oversee the implementation and maintenance of JLL Regional HSSE operational controls, (i.e., process, standards, procedures, and guidelines) ensuring compliance with HSSE obligations and JLL’s HSSE aspirations. Drive the development of best practice HSSE training programs and resources. Implement HSSE strategy and operating protocols for the safety performance of JLL’s contractors and supply chain vendors. Oversee the successful delivery of HSSE regulatory responsibilities and best practices globally to secure regulatory compliance, including management of change related to new and revised legislation. Oversee the successful management of assurance for the HSSE program, while supporting growth strategies related to Client, JLL and/or national and industry standards.
Required Qualifications:
A minimum 5-7 years HSSE management experience within Operational Management systems and working with corporate clients. Deep understanding of the HSSE regulatory environment in major markets Experience of managing a large varied, multi-cultural team. Practical working knowledge of up-to-date tools and techniques within a real estate environment and management of risk across a complex multi-site property portfolio. Significant practical experience of problem solving HSSE issues in a dynamic/diverse environment and implementation of risk control systems and processes. An agile approach to leadership and stakeholder management – able to operate effectively in a matrix structure. A strong orientation to goals and measurable results. Excellent communication skills to appropriately coach and educate at all levels of the account.
Preferred Qualifications:
Appropriate recognized Professional HSSE qualifications and memberships is preferred
