Corporate Accountant

PDT Partners, a quantitative investment manager, seeks an analytical, detail-oriented, and team-oriented Corporate Accountant to join our management company’s accounting team. This role offers an opportunity to enhance accounting, analysis, and reporting skills while gaining deep insight into the financial operations of a global hedge fund. Sitting at the core of PDT’s business operations, the Corporate Accountant will collaborate with various teams on budgeting, financial planning, and ad-hoc analysis projects. Due to the complexity of the hedge fund industry, this role provides exposure to specialized tax laws. This is a hybrid position requiring at least 3 days per week in our New York City office. Responsibilities: Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and analysis Oversee books and records of the management company and GP Handle regulatory reporting for the management company Coordinate with external accountants on tax compliance and audits Partner with Procurement to track assets accurately Collaborate with Fund Accounting on fund expense allocations Prepare financial statements Qualifications: At least 2 years of accounting experience; hedge fund experience not required CPA preferred Proficient in Excel and familiar with other database applications Experience with QuickBooks Strong organizational and execution skills Analytical mindset and problem-solving interest Process improvement orientation The salary range is $100,000 to $150,000, excluding potential bonuses.
