Oliver James Oliver James is partnering with a specialty P&C carrier seeking experienced professionals to join their
Excess Casualty
team. This role involves managing
complex litigated
commercial general liability (CGL) claims
from inception to resolution, including
premises liability, product liability, auto liability, and construction accident claims . You will also handle
litigation and coverage matters , making prior experience in these areas essential.
Key Qualifications & Experience
5+ years of complex general liability claims experience (insurance carrier or law firm) Proven expertise in handling commercial general liability claims exceeding $1,000,000. Strong background in CGL, premises liability, slip & falls, product liability, and bodily injury claims Additional experience in construction accidents, NY Labor Law (NYLL), and environmental liability is a plus but not required Litigation and coverage investigation experience is essential, including drafting coverage letters/RORs Bachelor's degree and Adjuster License in multiple states required
Compensation & Location:
Base Salary: $120,000 - $165,000 + up to 15% annual bonus Open to candidates based in NY, NJ, IL, GA, CT, and other EST/CST states Insurance carrier experience handling complex CGL claims is required
