$125,000.00/yr - $135,000.00/yr Hexagon is a leading global provider of clean fuel solutions for commercial vehicles and bulk gas transportation with more than $400 million of revenues in 2024. Our product offerings include (renewable) natural gas bulk distribution systems of compressed gases, lightweight Type 4 composite natural gas cylinders, and (renewable) natural gas fuel systems. These products transport clean gaseous fuels and enable vehicles to reduce emissions while lowering operating costs.

Job Summary:
Responsible for all U.S. tax matters for a market leading publicly held global manufacturer. This will be an influential leader who will collaborate with the executive team and other top leadership as the organization continues to grow. This position reports to the VP Finance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee U.S. federal, state and local tax compliance, research and planning. Formulate strategies to minimize taxes including review / recommendations on available government incentives / credits, etc. Monitor legislative and regulatory tax developments and communicate effects to management. Advise on structuring proposed transactions and strategic initiatives. Manage and administer tax inquiries / audits. Review income tax accruals for financial reporting. Design and implement appropriate control procedures / process improvements for tax compliance. Act as an internal advisor to various Business Units. Consult on executive compensation proposals. Supervise external tax advisor relationships. Special projects and other duties as assigned.
Education, Certifications & Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, required. Master's Degree in Accounting / Taxation, desired. Certified Public Accountant, desired. 5+ years public accounting (large firm experience preferred), specializing in Tax. Manufacturing Experience, preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to create solutions. Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain rapport and effective communication within company and external organizations. Experience working under tight deadlines with changing priorities. Must have the ability to work in sensitive and confidential situations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions with ability to deal with abstract and concrete variables. Above average Office 365 skills.
Physical Demand & Work Environment:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary.
