$125,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr Controller - Family Office Key Responsibilities: Act as the right hand to the CFO, providing day-to-day support across all areas of financial operations Manage and track cash flow for personal and investment entities, including treasury oversight and short-term planning Assist with bill payment, bank reconciliations, and document management, including downloading and organizing bank statements and investment notices Support capital call and distribution tracking across private equity, hedge fund, and venture capital investments Coordinate with external parties (banks, investment managers, attorneys, and accountants) and track tax receivables and estimated payments Prepare and reconcile credit card and expense reports across family members and entities Work with the CFO and estate planning attorneys to record the movement of assets, entity ownership changes, and member interest transfers within LLCs and trusts Support the preparation of monthly cash flow reports, net worth statements, budget-to-actuals, and ad hoc reporting Review and help maintain the books for the family office, its management company, investment partnerships, and affiliated trusts and entities Assist with year-end financial reporting and gather documentation for tax return preparation Contribute to the development and enforcement of accounting policies and internal controls Participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives, including potential system migrations and process improvements Track and reconcile cost basis vs cash basis of investments Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting; CPA preferred 8+ years of accounting experience, ideally within a family office, wealth management firm, or public accounting firm with HNW client exposure Strong knowledge of partnership and trust accounting, including understanding of estates, foundations, and intergenerational wealth structures Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel Experience with accounting and portfolio systems such as Asset Vantage, QuickBooks, Quicken, Addepar, or similar platforms Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, confidential environment Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with senior executives and external advisors with professionalism and discretion A self-starter with a collaborative mindset and a willingness to handle both high-level strategic tasks and routine Seniority level
