ROLE OVERVIEW: The Senior Data Engineer collaborates with Engineering and Analytics Leads to develop a comprehensive data platform, leveraging data sources for modeling affinity, personalization, offers, and promotions. Develop new platforms supporting Company initiatives. Work with Business Analytics and tech teams to gather requirements, automate processes, and optimize performance. Design, develop, deploy, and maintain data stacks and pipelines. Lay the groundwork for future cloud implementations and automation. Implement monitoring to ensure data quality and availability. Maintain confidentiality and ensure regulatory compliance, reporting issues to management. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience with at least three years working with Data Lake/Hadoop platforms. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and programming languages like Java or Python. Experience with Beam, Flume, Kafka, Solr Zookeeper, or similar tools. Knowledge of SQL on Hadoop (Hive, Spark). Experience with structured and unstructured data in data lakes, especially AWS Lake Formation (Glue, EMR, S3, Redshift, Athena). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, and tools like Airflow, Dagster, or DBT is preferred. Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
