Purpose of job The Key Account Manager is responsible for growing and maximizing Sensirion Connected Solution’s (SCS) revenue and market share in the environmental monitoring space by capturing, identifying, and nurturing high-potential opportunities. In this role, the Key Account Manager will be a driving force to expand our target applications and identify market needs to shape future products and solutions. Develop, manage, and nurture strategic/key customers in the Americas. Build key relationships with decision makers that influence the selection and deployment of SCS’s IoT Solutions. Establish dominant market share in focused applications and use cases such as continuous emissions monitoring. Collaborate with cross-functional teams by communicating consistently, managing expectations, setting priorities, and engaging various resources (e.g. Customer Success team, Application Engineering, Product Management) locally and globally Capture customers’ needs and provide the corresponding solutions. Schedule and lead customer visits/calls and drive corresponding action items to closure. Update CRM system by capturing visit/call reports, action items, as well as any other relevant customer information, and share with the relevant internal instances. Working with Marketing, Product Management, Vertical Market teams to launch key improvements to websites and customer-facing content (scaling our know-how, optimizing support, and increasing visibility in the market as recognized experts). Assist with the organization, attendance, and follow-up of conferences and trade shows. Perform all other job-related duties as needed. Domestic travel required (30 - 40%) and infrequent international travel (1 - 2 times / year). Qualifications (Knowledge, skills, abilities, education) Required qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (required), petroleum or environmental engineering (preferred). Minimum of 5 years of technical sales experience in the Oil and Gas industry. Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to solve customer problems by applying a strategic/consultative approach and proposing mutually beneficial solutions. Thrives in a growing and dynamic environment/team. Purpose driven and willing to continuously evolve/improve. Customer-oriented mindset and ability to set priorities. Critical thinking skills and ability to execute sales strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams locally and globally. Preferred qualifications: Previous experience working for a global company (i.e., overseas headquarters). Demonstrated experience in selling IoT solutions/services. Physical requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer (typing, answering the phone, participating in online meetings, etc.).
