Additional details will be provided by our recruitment team. Job Summary: We are seeking a Credit Risk Associate to join our growing Portfolio Management Group. You will conduct credit analysis and make recommendations for financial institution credits across our FIG portfolio, including: Banks, Business Development Companies, Asset Managers, Insurance companies (Life & Health insurance and Property & Casualty) Structured financial solutions Asset-based lending, including Fund and NAV lending Your responsibilities include preparing and evaluating credit proposals, recommending credit approvals to management, and monitoring client financials, industry, and credit trends regularly. Responsibilities: Perform due diligence on new transactions and regularly evaluate existing loans. Coordinate and communicate account information across organizational units. Maintain knowledge of industry trends and current events in the portfolio. Oversee covenants compliance database and facilitate facility closing due diligence, including documentation. Participate in client meetings and special projects as assigned. Advanced Credit/Underwriting Solutions: Support deal teams with financing structures and strategies. Pre-screen transactions to identify risks and structural issues. Assist in credit analysis for structured credit transactions. Maintain industry and regulatory knowledge relevant to the portfolio. Conduct site visits and participate in client and bank meetings. Policy and Deal Advocacy: Communicate with credit approval divisions to align on risk strategies. Evaluate and assign appropriate ratings and exposure levels. Ensure compliance with policies and regulations. Skills and Experience: Ideal candidates will have: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics; CFA or MBA is a plus. At least 3 years of experience analyzing corporate risk and credit profiles within financial institutions, accounting firms, or rating agencies. Experience with financial institutions credit analysis and financial markets. Knowledge of credit principles, legal, and compliance regulations. Strong financial modeling, analytical, and communication skills. Experience with analyzing corporate credit and transactions. Completed formal credit training at a major bank is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Compensation and Benefits: The base salary range is approximately $135,000 to $155,000, depending on experience and location.
