General Description:

Responsible for driving continuous revenue growth of multiple programs under aligned vertical. Provide management and oversight to Program Managers and direct reports to achieve financial goals.

Responsibilities

Responsible for overall business strategy. Achieve identified financial growth targets. Accountability for full-cycle recruitment, management, and development of Program Managers and assigned team. Provide leadership and coaching to staff. Provide management oversight and P&L responsibility for specific insurance programs. Develop and lead implementation of strategic business initiatives, marketing strategies, and campaigns. Provide recommendations to management. Includes authority levels for underwriting staff and amendments/enhancements to applicable program. Manage applicable program parameters. Including portfolio metrics and program strategy. Ensure underwriting profitability and compliance are in line with carrier and regulatory standards. Serve as the most senior subject matter specialist for applicable program. May underwrite the most highly complex assignments. Includes determining appropriate price and develop rate tables, coverage grant, terms, and conditions. Market company products and services through defined distribution sources. Develop and maintain agency/broker/direct account relationships. Collaborate with actuarial, operations, loss control, and claims teams. Execute program strategy and identify program opportunities. Effectively lead and collaborate with a team via in-person, in-office, and remote environments. Develop and maintain relationships with brokers, business, and community leaders. Identify and develop revenue opportunities. Develop active and visible relationships with carriers. Drive carrier expansion, profitability, and growth targets/goals. Develop strong distribution relationships and capability to balance production and underwriting for program success.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

10+ years of insurance experience. Includes 5 years managing multiple leaders required. College degree required; post-graduate degree preferred. Experience managing multiple programs preferred. Must hold or will obtain Property & Casualty and/or appropriate business licensure. Experience managing an underwriting business, product development, customer retention, and claims advocacy. Leadership ability. Driven to motivate others to achieve sales goals. Ability to coach and mentor sales professionals and production underwriters. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products. Ability to provide market intelligence, consultation, and client-specific assistance to sales associates. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
