The
Senior Master HVAC Technician
installs, modifies, and repairs refrigeration systems such as hermetic, semi-hermetic, screw, scroll, and centrifugal units up to 1100 tons; air conditioning; VAV and ventilation; VRF systems; CRAC units; geothermal; reversible chillers; air and water-cooled chillers; process coolers; ice machines; evaporative cooling; air compressing systems; and related control systems including pneumatic, DDC, and building control systems. This role involves advanced installation tasks such as assembly, testing, calibration, and adjustment of temperature and environmental control systems, including complex dual equipment cooling installations, refrigerated warehouses, and dehumidification systems.
Additionally, the technician installs new or repaired components, performs complex modifications, and maintains specialized equipment like DOAS, MAU, and Pool Pak systems. They may also repair system components such as compressors, condensers, heat pumps, refrigerant lines, valves, meters, thermostats, pumps, electrical components, and controls including pneumatic, variable speed drives, and digital devices.
*This position supervises lower-level technicians, general maintenance workers, and trade helpers.
Salary
$62.91/hr plus $14.75 fringe benefits towards insurance and 401k!

Diagnose and repair refrigerant systems, including VRF, chillers, and CRAC units
Cut, bend, and join tubing using appropriate tools and techniques
Test for leaks and verify system integrity
Operate and test system components such as motors, compressors, and controls
Replace defective electrical components
Adjust refrigerant levels for optimal performance
Install, repair, and service air conditioning units up to 1100 tons
Prepare work orders and estimate costs
Train and supervise lower-level workers
Perform other related duties as assigned
Essential Skills
Proficiency in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment
Ability to operate installation and repair tools, plan projects, and maintain records
Knowledge of safety procedures, refrigerant handling, and relevant codes
Work safely using PPE and follow safety standards
Qualifications include:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent with technical training and experience
15+ years of advanced experience in commercial/industrial HVAC systems
Experience with system inspection, assembly, repair, and control calibration
EPA Universal Refrigeration License
Valid driver’s license or willingness to obtain one
Ability to pass drug screening and background check
Dependable attendance and willingness for overtime
US citizenship required
Physical Requirements
Lift up to 50 lbs
Use of hands, walking, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces
Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
