Blue Marble Communications is currently seeking to hire an FPGA Design Engineer to implement, test, and document RTL running on BMC's spaceborne radio frequency, networking, computing, and optical communications products. This individual will also help architect FPGA modules and designs on the latest generations of Xilinx FPGA/SoC devices. The candidate must be a self-starter with good time management skills, a great attitude, and very strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Develop RTL modules and top-level implementations with appropriate testbench and test verification environments.

Execute full development life cycle - requirement capture, architecture, implementation, testing, and integration.

Collaborate with other design disciplines, including electrical engineering, software engineers, and systems engineering.

Support electrical engineers during various phases of board verification: design, bring-up, and test.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field along with 2-5+ years of FPGA design experience.

Highly proficient in RTL (Verilog or VHDL) languages.

Highly proficient with Xilinx Vivado FPGA tool flows.

Advanced knowledge of SoC architecture/design and industry standard interfaces.

Experience integrating and testing third-party IP blocks.

Knowledgeable in scripting/programming languages - primarily Tcl and Python.

Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

Excellent expository writing and verbal presentation skills.

Must be a US Person (due to export control and security requirements, candidates must be US Citizens, Permanent Residents, or lawfully admitted into the US).

Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 per year
