Seeking a full time
Controller
for an elite boutique firm that contracts with companies and bills hourly. The right candidate will come from an organization experience with timekeeping systems where billable hours are tracked and reconciled (similar to consulting and law firm models) & has experience with 3rd party billing & implementing new accounting systems. Must be technically savvy as this person will be auditing everything & transitioning from QuickBooks. The Controller serves as a key financial leader within the organization, overseeing all accounting operations, financial reporting, and financial management activities including managing up to 300 active invoices monthly. This position requires an intelligent, trustworthy, strategic thinker who can translate complex financial data into actionable insights to support diverse clientele while also managing day-to-day accounting operations including bookkeeping, accounts receivable/payable, invoicing, profit sharing, ethics reporting & 3rd party time keeping. This person will also manage Human Resources, Tax Planning and Compliance. Must be within commutable distance to Culver City & ok with full time in office. Required Experience & Education Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred 7+ years of progressive accounting experience Expert in GAAP standards and tax regulations Hands-on experience with full-cycle bookkeeping, AR/AP, and invoicing processes Proven experience with project-based accounting and cost control systems Experience with GUSTO payroll, Profit Sharing& ethics reporting Duties include: Tracking/invoice management of billable hours Bookkeeping & Daily Accounting Operations Project Accounting Treasury & Risk Management Tax Planning & Compliance Human Resources & Office Administration Invoicing AP/Banking/AR Client/Project Administration Administrative Meetings & Year End Software implementation Please attach resume for more details on this amazing position! #controller #GAAP #CPA #accounting #lawfirm, #consultingfirm, #accountingfirm #engineeringfirm #billablehours #Architecturalfirm #QuickBooks #GUSTO #audit Seniority level
