Assistant Controller – Great Plains NY
A rapidly growing food and beverage wholesaler located in Great Plains NY is seeking an Assistant Controller to join their team. As the Assistant Controller you will report directly into the VP of Finance and be responsible for month-end close, financial reporting, AP/AR, payroll and inventory accounting. This opportunity is onsite 5 days/week and will offer up to $150,000 on a base + excellent benefits! In order to be considered for this position, all candidates must have their CPA, experience within the wholesale industry, and well versed in Microsoft 365 Dynamics!

A rapidly growing food and beverage wholesaler located in Great Plains NY is seeking an Assistant Controller to join their team. As the Assistant Controller you will report directly into the VP of Finance and be responsible for month-end close, financial reporting, AP/AR, payroll and inventory accounting. In order to be considered for this position, all candidates must have their CPA, experience within the wholesale industry, and well versed in Microsoft 365 Dynamics!
Responsibilities:
Manage the General ledger systems & Month-end/year-end close processes Financial reporting and consolidations Accounts receivable/payable, payroll, inventory accounting Assist in developing and maintaining internal controls Ensure compliance with tax filings, audits, and financial regulations
Qualifications:
BA/BS degree in Accounting, CPA or MBA required 5-8+ years of progressive accounting experience + 2-3 years within a managerial role, preferably in the Wholesale/food and beverage industry Well versed in inventory accounting Proficiency in ERP systems: Microsoft 365 Dynamics Advanced Excel skills Strong attention to detail and analytical mindse Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
