Qualifications Required
BS Degree in Electrical Engineering Project Management Professional certification preferred Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience leading electrical projects involving power systems AutoCAD experience is required Advanced computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and preferably SAP Contractor Management Interpersonal and presentation skills Self-Motivated
Your Purpose
You will be responsible for coordinating all phases of the project, from business justification to start-up and then to closure and documentation. This can include conducting studies, preparing technical specifications, evaluating vendors, and change management. During project execution, you will be responsible for management of contractors including safety, performance, budget, and schedule for each project assigned. You will also be responsible for the budget, schedule, and performance of all assigned capital projects. You will also coordinate with individual departments throughout the project to coordinate and schedule installation/production disruption. Typical projects will range from $50k to $3M.
Responsibilities
As a Capital Projects Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful execution of projects from inception to completion. Your responsibilities will encompass the entire project lifecycle, including:
Project Planning & Development: Conduct feasibility studies, develop technical specifications, evaluate vendor proposals, and manage project budgets and schedules. Project Execution: Oversee the work of contractors, ensuring adherence to safety standards, performance metrics, and budgetary constraints. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with various departments to minimize disruption to production and ensure smooth project implementation. Change Management: Effectively manage project scope changes and implement necessary adjustments. Documentation & Closure: Maintain comprehensive project documentation and ensure timely project closure.
