Job Overview
Vine Electric Inc. is seeking a skilled Project Manager / Estimator to lead commercial electrical construction projects from bid to closeout. This hybrid role combines preconstruction estimating responsibilities with day-to-day project management duties, ensuring seamless project execution, budget accountability, and strong client relationships.
You'll collaborate with field crews, clients, and general contractors, overseeing everything from job walks and takeoffs to RFIs, budgeting, and final delivery. If you're detail-oriented, a strong communicator, and passionate about delivering high-quality electrical work, we want you on our team.

Responsibilities Include
Preconstruction & Estimating Review drawings, specifications, and proposals to develop accurate cost estimates. Participate in job walks and scope verification. Prepare bills of materials (BOMs), labor projections, and subcontractor RFQs. Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to close scope gaps and finalize bids. Organize and submit complete bid packages and proposals. Maintain accurate estimate logs and bid calendars. Provide field feedback to improve estimating accuracy and job cost controls. Project Management Report directly to company leadership and provide weekly updates on project and estimating status. Plan and manage construction schedules and project phases. Lead internal project handoff meetings upon contract award. Coordinate daily with field foremen to track progress and resolve jobsite issues. Ensure proper procurement and delivery of materials and equipment. Review and approve timecards and monitor weekly labor/material budgets. Address variances and escalate financial or operational issues promptly. Client & Contractor Relations Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, GCs, inspectors, and stakeholders. Present bids and proposals, clarify scope, and manage client expectations. Maintain ongoing communication and engagement throughout the project lifecycle. Team Oversight & Safety Lead weekly coordination meetings with field crews. Ensure optimal manpower allocation across projects. Partner with the Safety Coordinator to enforce safety standards and compliance. Documentation & Closeout Manage submittals, RFIs, permits, and inspections. Track change orders and update logs in real-time. Lead project closeout efforts, including punch list resolution and warranty documentation.
Qualifications
Experience in commercial electrical estimating and project management. Ability to manage estimates and projects independently from start to finish. Proficient in reading blueprints, construction plans, and specifications. Solid understanding of job sequencing, scheduling, and construction processes. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Highly organized and detail-driven; able to meet tight deadlines and stay ahead of schedules. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with estimating/project management software is a plus. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience (Not required, experience can offset this, but preferred). Willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
