$110,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr ABOUT HEIMDAL:
Heimdal builds machines that permanently capture and store atmospheric CO2. By working with federal government and local oil & gas production, Heimdal's technology profitably captures CO2. In 2022, Heimdal built the world's cheapest carbon removal plant in Hawaii and will launch Project Bantam, the largest DAC facility in America, in 2024. Position Overview:
Heimdal has built the largest Direct Air Capture facility in America. This is the beginning of a new industry in America that will grow to rival the oil & gas industry in scale. Keeping operations and production of the largest facility in America at full production is an opportunity to be at the forefront of this new industry bringing jobs and opportunity to the State of Oklahoma and beyond. This facility, while the largest of its kind, is still small for an industrial operation. Over time this facility will become the testbed for exploring new and enhanced techniques for optimizing our carbon capture process. As Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for troubleshooting issues that may arise from a new, “one-of-a-kind" plant, with sometimes no help from 3rd parties. Candidate must grow to “own” this process and learn all the complexities to maximize operational time and production, as well as prevent, assess, and fix issues. For non-local candidates, travel of 50-75% to the facility near Shidler, OK is expected, with less travel as issues become less frequent. The role will evolve into a technical lead within the larger organization and future, larger-scale plants. Key Responsibilities
Production Technical Lead: Integrate with the onsite team, including assisting the site manager and workers. Be the technical go-to for the facility, guiding operations and maintenance. Report directly to the CTO for technical and operational support. Technical Knowledge: Strong electrical and mechanical background. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly. Quick thinking to prevent minor issues from escalating. Experience with specialty equipment and components. Safety and Compliance: Comply with OSHA, EPA, and other standards. Conduct safety audits and investigate incidents. Coordinate with regulatory agencies for permits and licenses. Quality Control: Implement quality assurance processes. Address quality issues and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with quality control team to improve product quality. Reporting and Communication: Prepare reports on performance, safety, and metrics. Communicate effectively with stakeholders. Qualifications: Engineering Degree with at least 5 years of experience. Experience with electrical systems, control systems, instrumentation, mechanical systems, and fluid flow. Proven troubleshooting skills. Knowledge of safety regulations. Strong communication skills. Willing to travel 50-75% initially. Preferred Qualifications: Engineering Degree with 10+ years of experience. Previous field service and management experience. WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The Site Manager works in an industrial setting, with exposure to noise, dust, and outside work during emergencies or deadlines. Equal Employment Opportunity:
Heimdal is an equal opportunity employer. We consider all qualified applicants without discrimination based on protected characteristics.
