This position is responsible for the maintenance of the buildings, grounds, equipment, and vehicles for St. Joseph’s Corporation. The position supervises installations, repairs, and utilities and ensures the grounds and maintenance are in clean and safe conditions. The position oversees all new capital expenditures including vehicle and equipment purchases, in-house construction projects, on-campus department moves, and infrastructure planning and assists the Director of Facilities and Properties with physical plant operations for off-campus diocesan and parish properties. Primary Responsibilities
This position is responsible for the maintenance of the buildings, grounds, equipment, and vehicles for St. Joseph’s Corporation. The position supervises installations, repairs, and utilities and ensures the grounds and maintenance are in clean and safe conditions. The position oversees all new capital expenditures including vehicle and equipment purchases, in-house construction projects, on-campus department moves, and infrastructure planning and assists the Director of Facilities and Properties with physical plant operations for off-campus diocesan and parish properties. This position is responsible for Supervision of maintenance staff and the housekeeping personnel lead.
Minimum Knowledge, Experience And Skills Required

Facilities maintenance experience (5-7 years) involving the maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds. Experience (2-3 years) supervising maintenance and housekeeping personnel. Any equivalent combination of education and experience that would provide the above noted knowledge, skills, and abilities. Previous project management experiences are a plus. Experience in facility management including familiarity with leases, contracts, and codes and regulations for facility maintenance and worker safety. Experience in commercial heating, ventilation and air conditioning operation, maintenance and repair, electrical and mechanical systems; strong mechanical aptitude. Excellent supervisory skills coupled with strong oral and written communication skills, presentation skills, interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organization, problem solving, trouble shooting and diagnostic skills in order to complete projects through teamwork and independent contributions. Demonstrated leadership and management skills. Microsoft Office computer skills Space planning and forecasting skills with high level understanding and appreciation of Project and Facility Management. Ability to read and understand building plans. Detail-oriented. Willingness to take direction and on the job training. Able to comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules. Adapt to priorities and/or situations. Able to negotiate with vendors and contractors effectively. Ability to handle and communicate details in a timely manner. Able to manage work schedules for self and staff as special needs and/or emergency situations arise. Sensitive to the public image of Diocese of Green Bay’s teachings. Must have a valid driver’s license
Preferred
Associates degree in Construction Technology, Facility Management, Engineering, or related field. Carpentry skills a plus.
