The

Vice President of Accounting

provides organized and detail-oriented professional services for full cycle accounting support within the accounting and finance divisions. This role involves supervising, managing, and coordinating accounting personnel, as well as directing the finance department. Ensures that company accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles. Responsible for all financial transactions and reporting for their assigned company(s). Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Gather information from clients and partners as needed. Develop targeted strategies to meet specific client needs. Make recommendations based on internal and external factors. Design and implement action plans. Maintain contact with teams for vendor management. Provide reporting on bills paid/due. Consolidate accounting for parent company and divisions. Participate in mergers and acquisitions, focusing on accounts payable integration. Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget. Oversee daily operations of the finance and accounting department. Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and forecasts. Assist in establishing departmental goals, policies, and procedures. Design and maintain an organizational structure to achieve department objectives. Coordinate financial audits and recommend procedural improvements. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Leadership skills to manage a team effectively. Strong working relationships across internal teams. Maintain current systems and controls. Develop new reporting metrics as needed. Excellent communication skills across business facets. Take personal responsibility and lead by example. Ability to coach, develop, and mentor team members. Education & Experience

Four-year college degree; MBA preferred. Minimum of ten years managing a team of at least 7 individuals. 16-18 years or equivalent experience, skills, education, or relevant certifications preferred.
