Role Summary
Job Description: Identify the hardware requirements needed to set up all the components of the Fifth Generation (5G) telecom network functions. Organize the data preparation Customer Information Questionnaire (CIQ) and communicate the same, so that it can be understood by all stakeholders involved in the process. Create and update software scripts to automate deployment and upgrading of 5G network functions (NF) / cell base (including CU: Central Unit, DU: Deployment Unit, and RU: Radio Unit) which are necessary to provide 5G services. Install and manage cloud infrastructure and use the same to commission 5G network cell base such as Central Unit (CU), Deployment Unit (DU), Radio Unit (RU), Unified data management (UDM), and Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF). Operate and manage the cloud infrastructure and the nodes deployed over the cloud infrastructure. Monitor and troubleshoot issues in the cloud infrastructure to provide zero downtime of the nodes deployed in the cloud infrastructure. Monitor and troubleshoot issues with 5G network components to minimize downtime to the 5G services. Periodically upgrade the 5G network cell base with fixes and new features as well as enhancements to existing features. Design the test plan to test the new features / fixes and coordinate with the customer to test and accept the new fix / features provided. Generate a method of procedures explaining the step-by-step sequence of performing a network operation, such as configuration changes, enabling new features, software upgrades, etc. Manage Change Requests from customers with information regarding new feature additions, changes in configurations, and periodic maintenance actions, and prepare acceptance criteria for the same.

: Requires a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or related field (foreign equivalent acceptable) and five (5) years of experience in Telecommunications Engineering or a Master’s in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or related field (foreign equivalent acceptable) and two (2) years of experience in Telecommunications Engineering.
