The NYPD strives to foster a safe and fair city by incorporating Neighborhood Policing into all facets of Department operations, and solve the problems that create crime and disorder through an interdependent relationship between the people and its police, and by pioneering strategic innovation.

The Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) supports the Department by acquiring, distributing, installing and maintaining Local Area Networks, personal computers, mainframe computers, software, and data communications networks. ITSD also plans and coordinates the implementation of advanced technology. ITSD is seeking for a candidate to work in the title of Sr. IT Architect for design, implement, maintain, and support IT enterprise applications.

ITSD is seeking candidates for the position of Senior IT Architect who will be responsible for the following:

Design/architect solutions on Dynamics 365, SharePoint Online and Power Platform Setup Microsoft Power Platform tenants, environments and subscriptions Develop applications using Power Platform Dataverse tables Implement business processes in Power Automate Flows. Implement authentication, MFA and authorization using Azure AD and related

Azure Services

Implement application integration using Azure services such as Azure Service

Bus, Azure logic Apps, Azure functions etc.

Implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment using Azure DevOps. Confirm adherence of applications, components and services to established

standards and best practices.

Ensure compliance with architecture standards and guidelines throughout the

application development life-cycle

Ensure compliance with agency standards. Propose updates to agency standards

in line with industry best practices

Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills

Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program The PSLF Program forgives the remaining balance on your Direct Loan after you have made 120 qualifying monthly payments under a qualifying repayment plan while working full time for a qualifying employer, such as a U.S. federal, state, local, or tribal government or not-for-profit organization. You may be able to consolidate a Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL) and Federal Perkins Loan into a Direct Loan to qualify for PSLF.

SENIOR IT ARCHITECT - 95711

Minimum Qualifications

A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics or related field and six years of satisfactory full-time experience related to enterprise architecture, solutions architecture, network architecture and/or IT infrastructure systems; or A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and ten years of satisfactory full-time experience related to enterprise architecture, solutions architecture, network architecture and/or IT infrastructure systems; or Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above.

Preferred Skills

Preferred skills include: - Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and enthusiastic to learn new technologies. - 10+ years experience executing technical discovery, design, and deployment deliverables for the discovery and monitoring systems - Knowledge of Server less application patterns - In Depth knowledge of Azure Services available to implement Server less applications. - Experience in working for a large municipal government agency - Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills - Excellent oral and written communication skills when interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels - Knowledge of Agile principles and values - Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or Professional/Certified Scrum Master (P/CSM) (preferred)
