Our client, a 100+ bed healthcare facility, located near Cleveland, TN and located within 2 hrs of Great Smoky Mountains area of TN, within an hour of Knoxville and Chattanooga, has a need for a Director of Women’s and Children’s Services to join their team. The Director will direct the Labor & Delivery, Post Partum, and Nursery activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
The department is actively growing. They are up in volume 52% since the first of the year. They really need someone with leadership experience to be able to continue to grow the department and develop strategically where the department should go and how to get there.
They are offering a $20,000 bonus!
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.
Works with the chairman of the Perinatal Committee on preparation for Perinatal Committee meeting's and follow ups.
Works as staff when needed during critical shortages.

Roughly 30-35 FTEs
5 L&D beds
6-7 beds – Nursery
10 beds - “c-wing” (mixture of PP and MS)
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate’s degree in Nursing Required, BSN and Master’s Degree preferred
Current RN License in State of TN or another compact state
At least 2 years of Nursing Management experience, preferably in L&D.
