Network Security Engineer – Palo Alto Location:

San Diego, CA (Onsite – Hybrid) Duration:

Fixed Term Full Time Employment with Zensar Responsibilities:

Firewall management (e.g., DMZ, Internet, Third Party connections), specifically for Next Generation Firewalls Maintenance of IPAM Maintenance of remote access tools Support enterprise incidents Research emerging threats and vulnerabilities to aid in network incident identification Analyze data from threat and vulnerability feeds for applicability to the client’s organization Ensure compliance with configuration standards Recommend security controls and corrective actions for risk mitigation Produce vulnerability, configuration, and coverage metrics and reports Provision and manage multi-factor authentication (e.g., token, certificate) Detect and prevent malicious code, monitor internet activity (e.g., IDS/IPS) Verify security policies Implement tiered web filtering (e.g., URL filtering, malicious sites, spyware) Generate internet usage reports Manage network intrusion detection and prevention sensors Report intrusion incidents Conduct ongoing vulnerability assessments and remediation Support third-party security assessments, scanning, and penetration testing Design, implement, and maintain encryption solutions Manage client security certificates, SSLs, and domain names Log, track, and resolve security risks and issues Provide network security services reporting as per client requirements Remediate security risks from audit findings Qualifications:

BS in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (highly desirable) 7+ years experience in information security, especially in a network security engineer role Preferred certifications: CSA+, CISSP, GIAC, PCNSA, PCDRA, PCESE Core Competencies:

Experience with NGFW, specifically Palo Alto and Panorama Managing Infoblox Analyzing threat event data and evaluating malicious activity Technical expertise in system vulnerabilities, network, and web protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC) Troubleshooting skills in security engineering and protocols Strong decision-making abilities Understanding of business needs and organizational values Zensar is a global technology consulting and services company with over 11,800 associates.
