Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of experience in an applied research setting, or similar. Experience in programming languages used for data manipulation and computational statistics (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB, C++, Java, or Go). Experience utilizing quantitative methods in user persona or segmentation research. Preferred qualifications:

Master's or PhD degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Psychology, Anthropology, or related field. 8 years of experience conducting UX research on products. 7 years of experience working with executive leadership (e.g., Director level and above). 5 years of experience managing projects and working in a large, matrixed organization. As a Quantitative User Experience Researcher (Quant UXR), you’ll inform your team of UXers, product managers, and engineers about user needs. You’ll play a critical role in creating useful, usable, and delightful products. You’ll work with stakeholders across functions and levels, impacting all stages of product development. You will investigate user behavior and needs using empirical research methods such as logs analysis, survey research, path modeling, and regression analysis. Skills from computer science, social science, econometrics, data science, psychology, and human-computer interaction will be valuable. You’ll combine behavioral research design, statistical methods, and programming to improve user experience. The Google UXR community supports your best work through meetups, mentorship, and internal research tools. Google Ads powers the open internet with technology connecting and creating value for people, publishers, advertisers, and Google. Our teams build advertising products including search, display, shopping, travel, and video ads, along with analytics. We aim to create trusted experiences and help businesses grow, from small startups to large brands and YouTube creators. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $178,000-$265,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary ranges are role, level, and location-dependent.
