This position is responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities while also nurturing and expanding relationships with existing customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in the transportation or construction industry, with a proven track record of business development success. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication and negotiation skills and a willingness to learn the services offered to the market. Responsibilities: Identify, target, and acquire new customers in the asphalt paving, construction, and infrastructure sectors via any lead generation methods available. Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients. Serve as the main point of contact for assigned existing customer accounts. Build relationships with key stakeholders at these customers and collaborate with internal teams to ensure high quality delivery and customer satisfaction. Maintain sales funnel through company CRM for management visibility. Works with internal stakeholders to understand the company's strengths and value proposition to execute sales strategies that result in sustainable and profitable growth. Conduct market analysis to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and potential opportunities in the asphalt transportation sector. Collaborate with Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer to establish sales goals then execute sales strategies and business plans to achieve company revenue goals. Establish partnerships with construction companies, paving contractors, and other key stakeholders to secure contracts and long-term agreements. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs, concerns, and feedback to ensure satisfaction and retention. Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and bids to secure new business. Be the subject matter expert in the areas of new account sales and growth, sales of emerging products and multi-product sales, profitability, presentation strategies, competitive strategies, proper use and level of sales support, management of expenses and business/financial issues on contracts. Work closely with operations and logistics teams to ensure seamless execution of customer requirements. Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular reports to management, highlighting key performance metrics and areas for improvement. Provides weekly updates on the progress of initiatives against the set strategic objectives Requirements: High School Diploma (Bachelor’s Degree preferred). 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in the transportation, logistics, energy, or construction industry. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the region as needed. Proven ability to develop and close new business opportunities.
