Business Development Manager

to spearhead growth initiatives for our chemistry custom synthesis business. The position is remote. This role involves actively identifying and making contact with new customers, reconnecting with existing customers and strengthening relationships. You will engage with global clients to promote our capabilities and help establish contracts for chemistry process research and commercial production. Business Development is a significant role within our organization, and is closely tied to other growth opportunities. You will be given the opportunity to learn and participate in all aspects of the business, as well as regularly communicate with key leaders both internally and externally. Key Objectives: • Business Development: Identify and pursue new customers and help drive interest in our R&D and commercial production small molecule custom synthesis services • Increase Sales: Help develop and secure new project opportunities, leading the growth of AcceleDev sales in our key business sectors • Existing Customer Management: Develop a structured approach to managing and growing business with our current customer base • Enhance Visibility: Boost the visibility of Acceledev CDMO services within the global pharma market, and others as well Responsibilities • Prospecting & Development: Identify, develop, and manage client relationships and new accounts to create or strengthen long-term relationships • Project Management: Help initiate new project opportunities and drive timely proposal generating activities, information exchanges between team members(technical, financial, legal, regulatory, etc.) and customers, as well as lead deal closing efforts • Client Engagement: Make regular contact with clients to maintain good relationships, check status and strategically promote Acceledev organizational and capability growth • Company Representation: Regularly visit global customers, as well as prepare for and participate in trade shows and conferences • Marketing Support: Help lead general marketing strategies, related to social media, newsletter campaigns, capability presentation and exhibitions Qualifications: • Educational Background: BS/MS/PhD in Chemistry or closely related field. Or a Business degree with significant experience in small molecule chemistry business development roles Experience: o Must have recent and significant pharmaceutical business development experience o Previous experience with CDMO business development and account management in the field of API (2+ years) highly recommended o Experience in organic chemistry, process development, pilot plant, and commercial scale API synthesis o Basic understanding of pharmaceutical API development and common outsourced activities and business principles Skills: o Strong project management methodology and negotiation skills. o Excellent communication skills and networking capabilities o Results-oriented with a positive attitude o Ability to work autonomously and cross-functionally on a variety of given assignments Please submit your resume for evaluation.
