Backlog Management: Own and maintain the product backlog, ensuring that it is well-groomed, prioritized, and aligned with business goals. User Stories: Translate product requirements into clear, concise, and actionable user stories and acceptance criteria for engineering teams. Program Increment (PI) Leadership: Act as a lead during PI planning sessions and coordinate across teams to deliver on commitments. Participate in scrum ceremonies: Actively engage in scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, to ensure team alignment and effective delivery. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, QA, Support, Client Success, and other stakeholders to ensure successful delivery and adoption of features. Continuity and Modernization: Work with the Product Manager, Head of Product, and other stakeholders to define and execute a modern technology approach to this complicated and nuanced aspect to private market operations Documentation and Communication: Collaborate with Technical Writers to create and maintain internal and external documentation. Communicate technical and business context clearly across audiences. Voice of the User: Stay current with private equity and private credit trends and client workflows to represent the needs of the user in all aspects of development. Product Expertise: Act as a subject matter expert and go-to resource for questions about functionality, design decisions, and future plans. Continued Growth: Continue professional and technical education, attending conferences, workshops, seminars, etc. Qualifications
4+ years of experience as a Product Owner in a software development environment, preferably in private equity or client-focused delivery in private markets. Demonstrated success supporting complex, multi-system data workflows. Experience with private equity or private credit operations, accounting, or fund structures Strong technical fluency and comfort working with event-driven architectures, data reconciliation, and APIs Proven ability to translate business needs into detailed requirements and sprint-ready stories Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a track record of effective collaboration. Strong knowledge of Roadmap and Backlog Management. Experience in modernizing legacy systems or leading architectural transitions. Familiarity with APIs, data pipelines, and reconciliation tools. Background working with global engineering teams or in scaled Agile environments. Experience gathering customer input directly via user interview, client forums, or other discovery activities. Experience in the investment industry, preferably in private markets Computer Skills Experience in modernizing legacy systems or leading architectural transitions. Familiarity with APIs, data pipelines, and reconciliation tools. Background working with global engineering teams or in scaled Agile environments.
