The caregivers at Euclid Hospital have made it an excellent medical facility and a home away from home. Euclid Hospital's 8th floor Med/Surg and Telemetry Unit is a 31-bed unit that specializes in advanced telemetry. This unit has an average daily census of 25 and is comprised of 7 private rooms, 10 semi-private rooms and a 4-bed observation room for patients who may be confused, at risk for falls or in need of visual monitoring. Known for their exceptional assessment skills and team mentality, caregivers in this unit provide the best patient-centered and relationship-based care to their adult to geriatric patients with ranging medical-surgical diagnoses. As an Assistant Nurse Manager, you will assist fellow RNs, physicians and medical staff in providing the best possible healthcare experience. Your work will mainly focus on evaluating patient conditions, improving unit policies, managing caregiver schedules and welcoming new nurses to the team. A caregiver in this position works nights from 7:00PM - 7:30AM. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Support the Nurse Manager with supervising and supporting RNs and other nursing support caregivers.Supervise admissions, conduct assessment of patient's needs and initiate nursing care plans.Evaluate and document patient progress.Facilitate the planning, implementation, development, and evaluation of nursing programs, initiatives and objectives for the unit.Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective delivery of health services in a unit.Serve as a liaison between the manager, caregivers and other areas within the organization.Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care services in a unit.Prepare schedule of work assignments assuring adequate coverage.Participate in and support quality improvement projects, outcomes studies and research initiatives.Assist in orienting new caregivers.Participate in continuing education and in-service educational programs.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Graduate from an accredited School of Professional NursingBachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)Two years of recent clinical nursing experienceStrong demonstrated clinical knowledge and skillsOur caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
