Our transportation projects include traditional design-bid-build projects as well as alternative delivery such as Design-Build (DB), Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC), Construction Manager At Risk (CMAR), and Public-Private-Partnership (P3) projects.

As Senior Bridge Project Manager / Transportation Practice Builder, you will lead bridge projects of various sizes and complexity, lead teams of bridge engineers and CADD staff, support/mentor junior engineers, support strategic growth initiatives, develop our local and regional transportation practices, and help win new work. As a self-motivated professional, your role, experience, expertise, and leadership will differentiate Jacobs locally, regionally, and nationally. With the support of Jacobs, you’ll have the option to grow in your career and contribute to the engineering community through participation in regional and/or national professional and technical organizations. Jacobs has a strong presence in Nevada and you’ll be helping to deliver projects such as Brightline West High Speed Rail, Neon and many others.

As a hybrid worker, you will be based in our Henderson, NV office with flexibility to work in the office and remotely. Our team members strive to work together from the office two to three days per week on average to build relationships, foster camaraderie, provide opportunities for mentorship, and encourage cross-functional collaboration and creative problem-solving. Oversee multidisciplinary teams Work on high profile, local projects such as Brightline West High Speed Rail Oversee, manage, and/or lead preliminary, intermediate, and final bridge design projects Develop bridge designs, calculations, specifications, cost estimates, and final bid packages Oversee, manage, and lead task orders under on-call contracts Provide and manage engineering services during construction including construction observation reports Assist in development of Design-Build proposal documents Identify creative and innovative bridge engineering solutions based on client, project, and site constraints Provide technical guidance, oversight, and perform quality reviews Train, direct, and mentor junior engineers Coordinate project milestones and workload with Project Managers, Design Leads, and Senior Bridge Engineers Pursue bridge projects of various types including alternative delivery projects in Nevada, Utah, Colorado, throughout the Southwest, and nationally Support business development and proposal efforts Maintain existing client relationships and develop new client relationships

Here's what you'll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering PE registration Nevada or the possibility of obtaining Nevada PE registration after joining our team At least 15 years’ civil engineering experience including substantial bridge design and construction Experience on large, multidisciplinary bridge design projects Experience with multiple structure types including precast concrete girder bridges, steel bridges, bridge widenings, and bridge rehabilitations Project management and leadership experience Strong written and oral communication skills and a team-oriented attitude Strong technical skills and a thorough understanding of technical standards for bridge design, construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance including AASHTO LRFD and state-specific guidelines Familiarity with FHWA requirements and guidelines Ability and willingness to travel on occasion

Ideally, You’ll Also Have

Existing relationships with Nevada DOT and/or other relevant agencies

Multi-faceted experience including public sector project experience

At least 20 years’ civil engineering experience including substantial bridge design and construction as well as leadership of design teams Alternative delivery project experience including Design-Build (DB), Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC), Construction Manager At Risk (CMAR), and Public-Private-Partnership (P3) projects

The base salary range for this position is $126,500.00 to $221,500.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
