We are seeking a Pricing & Monetization Lead to help us evolve our pricing strategy based on economics, behavioral data, and experimentation. This role involves building economic models, collaborating with executive leadership, and driving strategic decisions to maximize profitability and growth. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Oakland, CA, with a mix of remote work and in-office days. What You’ll Do
Analyze product usage, deals, and billing data to model pricing scenarios Design frameworks to assess customer willingness to pay and value vs. cost Research pricing mechanisms in related markets Conduct pricing experiments in partnership with Product Build econometric and value-based pricing models for different customer segments Engage in user research and customer interviews to gather insights Collaborate with Product, Analytics, Sales, and Legal teams to implement strategies Define KPIs and dashboards to monitor pricing health and opportunities Continuously optimize pricing strategies to increase ARR and align price to value Skills We’re Looking For
5–8 years of experience in SaaS or B2C pricing models, especially usage-based or behavioral pricing Advanced degree (PhD/MSc) in Economics, Statistics, or related fields Fluency in SQL and Python; proficiency with BI tools like Looker or Tableau Experience with conjoint, MaxDiff, or Van Westendorp surveys and experimental design Strong data analysis skills and attention to detail Proven ability to translate models into actionable changes impacting ARR or NRR Collaborative mindset across teams and excellent communication skills for executive influence The pay range for this role in Oakland is $160,776—$200,970 USD.
