Weaver, a full-service national accounting, advisory, and consulting firm, seeks a State and Local Tax (SALT) Manager to lead our Income and Franchise Tax division. The SALT team manages the complexities of state income, franchise, and gross receipts taxes, providing compliance, advisory, and controversy services to clients. Responsibilities
Plan, supervise, and review state income, franchise, consolidated, and combined tax returns for businesses and individuals. Stay informed on tax law changes across states and communicate key issues and updates to clients and the firm. Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of SALT experience in a public accounting firm, focusing on state income and franchise tax compliance and consulting. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. CPA, CMI, or JD certification. Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Accounting or related field. Experience managing and mentoring staff. Strong relationship management and business development skills. Ability to attract and expand client services. Partnership experience is a plus. Compensation & Benefits
Estimated salary range: $125,000 - $191,000, based on location and experience. Weaver offers comprehensive health benefits, 401(k), flexible time off, sick leave, holidays, and recharge days.
