Overview Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Opportunities in Washington's Wine Growing Region!
Responsibilities Pediatrix Medical Group of Washington is seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to join our practice in the heart of Washington's celebrated wine and hops-growing region!
MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital (MYMH) has a 15-bed Level IIIA NICU serving South Central WA state.
Regional perinatal center for Yakima County, its surrounding counties, 4 federally designated critical access hospitals, and a 5th larger rural hospital.
Delivery rate of approximately 2,500 births per year.
The only Level III NICU within a 70-mile radius, surrounded by 5 federally designated critical access hospitals and 1 larger rural hospital without pediatric or NICU services.
The NICU has over 40 years of history providing expert neonatal care to this rural community.
Average daily census of 10 patients; actively rebuilding its services in partnership with community OB and MFM services.
Support includes conventional mechanical ventilation and bubble CPAP; does not currently offer high-frequency ventilation or iNO.
Full team of therapists: Speech/Language, Occupational, and Physical Therapists provide consultation and neurodevelopmental assessments.
Partnerships with Spokane practice for weekly meetings, guideline updates, journal clubs, and M&M conferences.
Strong relationships with children's hospitals in Tacoma, Seattle, and Spokane for complex cases and ongoing subspecialty care.
Living in Yakima Yakima is centrally located in WA, known for outdoor activities, with over 300 sunny days annually. It features mountains, deserts, and farmland, offering four seasons of outdoor recreation. The region is renowned for its apples, grapes, and hops, supporting a vibrant craft beer industry. Just 2.5 hours from Seattle and 3 hours from Portland, it offers a lower cost of living, diverse housing, good schools, and a strong community feel.
Qualifications
Current APRN national specialty certification
Minimum of a master's degree
Benefits and Compensation Pay Range:
$110,000 - $140,000
Additional Compensation:
Bonus potential
