Role & Responsibilities
Manage overall project delivery from construction through commissioning phases Serve as the primary interface with company project management oversight leadership, engineering teams, field staff, and contractors Create and manage project baselines, including scope, budget, schedule, and risk registers Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining alignment with utility safety and compliance standards Track project performance against key metrics: earned value, milestones, change order trends, and resource allocation Facilitate cross-functional coordination, including permitting, procurement, design, and construction Lead weekly project status meetings and report out to senior stakeholders with dashboards and KPIs Manage and escalate issues, facilitate resolution, and maintain project alignment with strategic goals Support regulatory documentation, close-out punch lists, and stakeholder turnover packages
Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in either Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Industrial Engineering Master’s Degree (Engineering Management, Construction Management, or Business Administration MBA) would be considered an asset Project Management certification would be an asset (PMP) Health, Safety & Environmental Certifications would be an asset Minimum of 7 years of experience in Project Management within Power Industry overseeing the installation and commissioning of major systems such as: Data Centers Substation Transmission and Distribution Solar gas turbines Heat recovery steam generators Deaerators Switchgear and transformers Diesel generators Boiler feedwater pumps Proficiency in project management tools, especially Procore, MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, Project), and Primavera P6 or equivalent scheduling software. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build rapport across multidisciplinary teams. Demonstrated ability to prioritize safety, manage schedule adherence, and identify project risks and opportunities in real-time.
