NES Fircroft is actively seeking a Senior-Level Chemical Engineer for our client, a global specialty chemicals producer focused on energy storage and advanced materials, for a permanent role within their enterprise research and technology organization.
This is a direct-hire role with our client. Chemical Engineering candidates must have a strong Chlor-Alkali background, as this position will serve as the Global SME for these technologies within their organization. The position offers a hybrid schedule with 3 days in-office, with candidates ideally located near one of four client sites: Charlotte, NC; Baton Rouge, LA; Clear Lake, TX; or Magnolia, AR.

Job Description Our client is seeking a
Process Technology Chlor-Alkali Subject Matter Expert . This role will be based at our Process Development Center in Baton Rouge, LA; at our plant in Magnolia, AR; at our offices in Clear Lake, TX; or at our corporate offices in Charlotte, NC.
Key responsibilities include:
Becoming the recognized process technology expert / guardian for Chlor-Alkali process globally.
Staying informed of external technology developments relevant to Chlor-Alkali processes.
Identifying opportunities for material improvements.
Coaching and developing other technical personnel involved in designing, building, operating, or improving the process globally.
Participating in major capital expansion or revamp projects related to the process.
Leading technology selection efforts for significant capital projects, ensuring appropriate design basis and technology choices, in collaboration with design and startup teams.
Required Education and Experience
B.S. degree or higher in Chemical Engineering with 15+ years of experience.
Proven success in Chlor-Alkali process design, development, optimization, and manufacturing operations.
Strong understanding of chemical engineering fundamentals and a fundamental approach to process design.
Ability to work independently with limited oversight.
Preferred Experience
Experience processing and handling bromine, chlorine, fluorine, etc.
Experience in executing large projects.
