Lead AI Developer UI Strategy The Virginia Department of Transportation's Information Technology Division is seeking a highly skilled Lead AI Developer UI Strategy to craft and integrate UI components (using React.js and Angular) with AI systems. The role involves optimizing front-end performance and maintaining comprehensive documentation for our front-end codebase. Responsibilities: Lead UI development team to support the design, development, and deployment of AI models that drive business value and innovation. Develop and implement UI design layer strategies aligned with organizational goals. Utilize advanced mathematical modeling, statistical analysis, and optimization techniques to analyze data and improve prompt efficiency. Develop UI components using React.js and Angular. Integrate AI agents and autonomous systems for decision-making, workflow automation, and task delegation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver new features. Build reusable components and front-end libraries. Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code. Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure smooth user experiences. Participate in code reviews to maintain quality and consistency. Qualifications: Experience leading AI initiatives and managing teams of AI Scientists and Engineers. Ability to integrate ReactJS with deck.gl. Experience building GIS-enabled visualizations using Azure Maps. Proficiency working with large data sets to improve performance. Ability to develop visualizations of agent states, decisions, and actions. Design forms and tools for data collection, ensuring integrity and usability. Create interfaces for human interaction with automated systems, supporting human oversight. Knowledge of React.js and related tools (Axios, React Router, Redux). Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration. Understanding of modern authorization mechanisms like JSON Web Tokens. Experience with version control systems such as Git. Knowledge of front-end build tools and pipelines. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proven project and team leadership, including mentoring AI engineers. Critical evaluation, hypothesis testing, and scenario analysis skills. Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies and methodologies. Degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
