This role is pivotal in driving growth, managing high-performing teams, and ensuring successful delivery of structural projects, especially in bridge and horizontal infrastructure. Job Summary: Seeking an experienced Structural Section Head with strong credentials in bridge/horizontal structures, team leadership, and business development. This position involves managing the financial health, staff development, and market presence of the structural department at a local office level. Key Responsibilities: Drive business growth through strategic planning and client outreach Manage budgets, resource allocation, and departmental financial performance Hire, mentor, and evaluate engineering staff Serve as technical advisor to project teams Contribute to proposal writing and project pursuit Collaborate with office managers and practice leaders on growth plans Conduct performance reviews and lead professional development of staff Oversee staffing needs and project assignments for the structural team Key Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Mandatory) Licensed Professional Engineer (Mandatory) Minimum 10 years of experience in bridge/horizontal structural engineering (Mandatory) Proven project management and business development capabilities Proficient in Microsoft Office suite Prior experience working with county or state-level clients (Preferred) Supervisory/team leadership experience (Preferred) Seniority level
