Job Description
The enterprise P&C Associate Actuary - Reserving is responsible for developing, managing, and leading projects supporting reserving insurance business using accepted actuarial and statistical standards, methodologies, and knowledge. This role collaborates closely with analytics senior leadership and key business partners to develop and execute complex reserving strategies aligned with business goals across lines and geographic areas. It also involves managing a team of analysts. Key Responsibilities
Responsible for actuarial reserving of private passenger auto physical damage, homeowners, and specialty personal lines business. Develops and ensures the appropriateness of complex actuarial/statistical analyses to influence business decisions within specific geographic/line focus. Uses understanding of insurance products, markets, and regulations to influence pricing, reserving, and modeling strategies. Ensures quality and appropriateness of data used for actuarial services and determines suitable tools. Leads a team and contributes to talent management. Reviews and communicates complex actuarial/modeling techniques and results to influence decisions. Manages large-scale, complex projects independently. Provides technical leadership and innovation, serving as a subject matter expert. Ensures timely provision of high-quality data for auditing and actuarial opinions. Education
4-year Bachelor's Degree (preferred) ACAS/FCAS designation required Experience
7 or more years of relevant experience (preferred) Supervisory Responsibilities
