115 Job Description: The CDO Senior Risk Advisory Manager II serves as the lead risk partner for the Chief Data & Analytics group within Enterprise Technology, reporting directly to the Business Unit Risk Executive (BURE) for Enterprise Technology. The BURE reports to the Chief Information Officer for Truist. This role acts as a strategic advisor and subject matter expert, responsible for proactively identifying, mitigating, managing, reporting, and escalating risks within their oversight portfolio. It also contributes to effective risk management for Enterprise Technology and Truist Bank. The position involves leading a high-performing team of risk advisors and governance & reporting professionals to support enterprise risk programs, focusing on existing and emerging risks. The role provides leadership, insight, and advice to ensure strong risk management practices aligned with the firm’s risk appetite and the business unit’s strategic and financial plans. The manager acts as a delegate to the Business Unit Risk Executive, engaging with stakeholders including senior leadership, risk management organizations, front-line risk teams, auditors, and regulators. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Engage in risk management activities with the line of business, proactively identifying and evaluating risks, and supporting their mitigation or acceptance. Lead a team of risk advisors responsible for executing enterprise risk programs such as risk control self-assessments and issues management. Assist business line leadership in identifying, assessing, controlling, and communicating risks associated with business processes and decisions. Provide oversight of the control environment. Support the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs). Provide risk management support and oversight for change activities, including business and regulatory changes. Oversee and support the management of open risk, audit, and regulatory issues, including root cause analysis and remediation plans. Support the business during audit and regulatory examinations. Communicate risk activities, trends, and events to leadership, promoting risk initiatives and metrics. Qualifications: Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience. 12+ years of risk management experience in financial services or related field. 10+ years of leadership experience. Subject matter expertise in the relevant line of business. Broad knowledge of risk and regulatory areas including Credit, Market, Liquidity, Compliance, Operational, Reputation, and Strategic Risks. Strong leadership and communication skills. Critical and strategic thinking, multi-tasking, and change management abilities. Strong quantitative, governance, and analytical skills. Ability to challenge senior leaders effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to travel occasionally, including overnight.
