OVERVIEW Merrick & Company is seeking a full-time

Senior Electrical Engineer

for our Energy, Manufacturing & Bioprocessing department to join our team in Greenwood Village, CO, or Tulsa, OK. This business unit supports sectors including industrial food & beverage, refining, power, and advanced biofuels. The position offers a hybrid work schedule, and relocation will be considered. Typical annual pay ranges from $125,400 to $162,300, depending on experience and skills. WHAT YOU'LL DO Lead projects of moderate to complex scope, serving as project lead when applicable. Develop electrical design documents and drawings. Review and monitor team work for quality and compliance. Design low voltage power distribution, lighting, grounding, motor control systems, PLC/PAC, HMI, process equipment, and instrumentation. Engage with clients, contractors, and officials. Lead project meetings and deliver presentations. Perform electrical calculations such as voltage drop, short circuit, coordination studies, arc flash, relay settings, conduit fill, lighting, and grounding. Create specifications and datasheets for electrical equipment like transformers, switchgear, and MCCs. Travel to project sites for field walk-downs and as-built documentation. Manage resources to stay within project estimates. Coordinate with Design/Engineering Managers to meet project schedules and documentation requirements. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of 12 years of electrical engineering experience, preferably in power, energy, oil & gas, or related industries. Experience creating one-line diagrams, control schematics, wiring diagrams, electrical specifications, power plans, conduit plans, and cable schedules. Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, NFPA, IEC standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word). Familiarity with AutoCAD, REVIT, or similar software. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an A.B.E.T.-accredited college.
