Manufacturing Position Summary

The Mapleton Foundry, one of the largest in the U.S. and home to the largest core making machine, seeks an

Advanced Planning Manufacturing Engineer . This role involves designing, developing, and implementing manufacturing systems and complex operations, following the New Capital Investment process. The engineer will specialize in machining, managing projects, and contributing to continuous performance improvements to meet or surpass customer expectations. Key Responsibilities

Follow NCI (New Capital Introduction) Process Flow / Gate Reviews Collaborate with multiple departments including customer groups, Facilities/Maintenance, Manufacturing, Engineering, EHS, accounting, and purchasing Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely and quality outputs Plan facilities projects, manage budgets, and oversee procurement Coordinate with suppliers to implement efficient, cost-effective systems Ensure compatibility of existing and new assets/systems Guide project teams for sustainable and efficient facility modifications Verify the effectiveness of modern technology implementations Preferred Experience

Managing large-scale capital projects from concept to execution Manufacturing related to cast materials, machining, and process control Foundry processes including molding, core making, melting, casting, and cleaning Skills

Project Management: Planning, organizing, and monitoring projects Manufacturing Process Design: Developing and optimizing processes Capacity Planning & Management Lean Manufacturing principles and implementation Problem Solving techniques for operational issues Additional Information
