Altura is actively seeking an experienced Program Manager with 5+ years of program management, client relations, and technical decarbonization-related skills to help expand Altura’s climate change-related impacts across multiple sectors. Qualified candidates should have relevant experience in sustainability advisory, greenhouse gas emission reporting, decarbonization, energy efficiency, building engineering, green building, facilities management, renewable energy and/or other related fields. The preferred location for this position is in Altura’s Irvine or Oakland, CA offices; however, other remote locations will be considered. Scope & Responsibilities: Lead multiple portfolio-level engagements within the automotive, healthcare, higher education, federal, and/or other market sector, including client interface, project execution, team coordination, and schedule & budget management. Grow and diversify Altura’s Environmental Programs offerings with new and existing clients through outstanding client and project management deliveries. Expand our positive impacts by collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to innovate our service offerings. Required Qualifications: 5+ years of project management experience in sustainability advisory, greenhouse gas emission reporting, decarbonization, energy efficiency, building engineering, green building, facilities management, renewable energy and/or other related fields. Experience implementing and tracking decarbonization strategies for Scope 1, 2 and 3 emission sources. Technical experience implementing or advising on building-level energy conservation measures and/or green building best practices. Experience with project manager responsibilities including target setting, budgeting, and long-term project execution. Experience in client management including serving as primary contact for external client communications and deliverables. Strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of empathy. Ability to thrive in a teamwork-driven environment. Excellent oral, written and presentation skills. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in related field. Desired Qualifications: Experience in the healthcare, higher education, federal, automotive, real estate and/or other market sectors Experience with management, oversight, and career development of direct reporting relationships Key Attributes of Successful Candidate: We anticipate a candidate will be successful in this role if they have strengths in the following areas: Technically Competent: Knowledge of both enterprise-level decarbonization strategies and building-level project implementation processes. Consensus Driver: Ability to facilitate teamwork-based solutions and manage conflict resolution with internal and external stakeholders. Cultural Ambassador: Identifies with Altura’s mission and values and models the firm’s culture to internal and client teams. Thought Leadership: Desire to contribute to industry publications and events (e.g. speaking engagements, conferences, trade journals, blogs). Location: Irvine, CA or Oakland, CA (Preferred); hybrid or remote (within the U.S.) candidate would be considered. Base salaries will be determined by factors such as geographic location, education, skills, experience, and market considerations. For this role the annual base salary range is $110,000 -$145,000.
