Job Summary: Arizona Liver Health and is searching for qualified applicants for the Clinic APP position in Peoria, AZ. Successful candidates are currently Nurse Practitioners (NPs) or Physician Assistants (PAs) who have previous experience with gastroenterology (GI) and/or hepatology. The Clinic APP plays a crucial role in driving and expanding the organization's ability to provide innovative patient care for those affected by liver disease. Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm Salary:

$110,000 - $150,000 per year; depending on experience Please note:

the top $15k of the salary range is reserved for experienced APPs with proven specialty experience in Hepatology and Gastroenterology. Responsible for performing patient evaluations, consults, and review of pretreatment for standard of care patients as well clinical research patients Educating patients on therapeutic options through available liver clinical trials onsite Performs specialized procedure(s) and works with MD on patient diagnosis Counseling patients and their families, as well as collaborating with appropriate physicians to provide other appropriate direct care interventions within the scope of practice for physician's assistants or nurse practitioners Primary point of contact and assumes responsibilities for managing the care for patients Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required Proficient in use of Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneDrive as well as practice’s EMR system (eCW) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong ability to identify issues with “quietly unhappy” patients Refers patients appropriately Demonstrates awareness of quality-of-care metrics and regularly meets them Solid interpersonal skills and ability to maintain good working relationships with peers, coworker, and patients Solid interpersonal skills and ability to maintain good working relationships with peers, coworker, and patients Ability to provide patient care with minimal supervision Ability to perform in-clinic procedures (such as fibroscans) independently Autonomous in call-rotation Ability to diagnose and make treatment decisions for patients At least one (1) year experience working in a clinic or hospital setting as an NP or PA, 3+ years experience preferred Additional Preferred Qualifications: Ability to problem solve with systems and processes Commitment to earning additional certifications/professional titles outside scope of work Ability to resourceful and consults resources before asking others for instruction Previous outpatient hepatology/gastroenterology experience as an NP or a PA preferred Experience in completing fibroscans for patients preferred Education and/or credentials and trainings required Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program from an accredited institution Certification as a Nurse Practitioner with current RN and NP License required Graduate of a university program approved by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education (ARCE) for the Physician Assistant with certification by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Active license to practice in Arizona Must maintain certifications as required by department or division Completion of GCP and IATA trainings at hire.
