Avionics Design Engineer

We seek a highly motivated Avionics Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The responsibilities include designing, developing, integrating, and testing avionics systems for aircraft and defense systems. The role requires strong knowledge of electronic hardware, embedded systems, and aerospace standards. Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop avionics systems such as displays, flight management, navigation, communication, and power systems. Create detailed schematics, PCB layouts, and wiring diagrams. Select components meeting environmental, regulatory, and performance standards. Develop and execute system testing and verification plans. Support manufacturing legacy avionics CCAs for military aircraft. Design digital hardware (FPGA, CPLD, microcontrollers), embedded systems, and analog interfaces, collaborating with mechanical and systems teams. Assist with EMI/EMC compliance, certification processes (DO-160/DO-254), and MIL-STD qualification. Prepare engineering documentation, reports, and certification artifacts. Participate in design reviews and contribute to architecture decisions. Troubleshoot issues during testing and flight environments. Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or Aerospace Engineering or related field. Proficiency in C++ and C# programming. At least 3 years of experience in avionics or aerospace electronics design. Experience with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD). Strong understanding of digital/analog circuits, embedded systems, and communication protocols (ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, CAN, Ethernet). Knowledge of aviation standards (DO-178/254, DO-160, FAA, EASA) and TSO/STC experience. Experience with test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers). Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree or certifications (e.g., PE license, FAA DER). Experience with ATE hardware/software design (PXI/LXI). 3D SolidWorks design skills. FPGA development and HDL (VHDL/Verilog). Experience with flight software and RTOS environments. Previous aircraft certification or defense contract experience. Knowledge of MBSE methodologies. Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Additional Details:
