Job Description: Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive metallurgical analyses, including microstructural analysis, failure analysis, and corrosion testing of metals and alloys. Operate and maintain a variety of laboratory equipment, such as sample preparation equipment, microscopes (optical and electron), hardness testers, and other analytical instruments. Collaborate with the engineering team to design and execute experiments, including sample preparation, testing, and data analysis. Compile and report data clearly and concisely, making actionable recommendations based on findings. Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations in all laboratory activities. Participate in cross-functional teams to support material selection, process improvement, and product development initiatives. Stay abreast of technological advancements and best practices in the field of metallurgy and materials science. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree or higher is preferred. Proven experience in a metallurgical laboratory setting, with a strong understanding of metallurgical testing and analysis techniques. Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and quality assurance standards. Proficient in the use of LIMS, analytical software, and tools for data analysis and reporting. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on complex projects. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present findings to technical and non-technical audiences. Flexibility to work on multiple projects and potentially in different areas beyond metallurgy, depending on project needs.
