BlueHalo, an AV Company is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer in the Counter-UAS Directed Energy Division (CUAS DE). The CUAS DE Division of BlueHalo, an AV Company is responsible for next generation EO/IR and high-energy laser system development, to include image processing, controls, and electro-optical solutions.
The Embedded Software Engineer will work on teams of one to three software developers. Working with a larger multidiscipline teams of 15-20 engineers; taking mission objectives and requirements to develop, integrate, and test software solutions into directed energy systems.
As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Developer real-time software running on embedded microcontrollers for directed energy systems.
Develop software for system integration and test.
Support integration and test of subsystem components.
Write technical documents to support program needs.
Manage program requirements.
GUI development for diagnostics and command & control.
CI/CD of system critical software.
Support field test and evaluation.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's of Science or Master's Degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science.
4-8 years of software engineering experience in C and C++
Experience in GUI development either in Python, C#, or Java
Candidate must be able to work in a highly collaborative environment with other disciplines and must be able to work independently using the techniques, libraries and processes used.
Ability to work on-site.
Ability to travel to support proposal, design review, integration, test and other activities.
Active Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI Security Clearance
Experience with RTOS such as VxWorks or FreeRTOS
Experience in DSP
Experience developing for real-time embedded systems
Experience implementing control logic
ARM process coding experience
Experience working with EO/IR systems
GitHub and GitLab version control, CICD pipeline
MATLAB
Knowledge of how to use general lab equipment (oscilloscopes, DSA, function generator, lab supply, etc.)
Solid communication skills
Salary Range: $120,000 - $145,000
