Responsibilities May Include
Design transmission lines in the 69kV to 765kV range.
Mentor and train less experienced design team members.
Coordinate design activities to ensure installation and operations will comply with specifications, codes, and client requirements.
Prepare reports and studies that present technical information clearly and meet client and company standards.
Perform independent reviews of work performed by others, including calculations, drawings, and transmission line models based in PLS-CADD.
Adhere to Sargent & Lundy's System of Processes.
This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, with three days a week in the office and two days remote. Depending on your location, a generous relocation package is available.
Qualifications We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.
Essential Skills And Experience
BS degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
10+ years experience in transmission design.
Proficiency with PLS-CADD software.
Experience in scope development, conceptual design, equipment and material selection, and calculations.
Experience working directly with clients on transmission lines from 69kV to 500kV.
Knowledge of standards including NESC, IEC, ASCE, ACI, IEEE, and ANSI.
Experience reviewing design drawings.
Valued But Not Required Skills And Experience
PE license
PMP certification
Construction experience
Familiarity with ArcGIS
