Amazon's Supply Chain Optimization Technologies (SCOT) team is seeking a passionate Applied Scientist II with expertise in Operations Research to optimize our fulfillment and logistics network worldwide. You will develop models and algorithms to enhance delivery efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction across Amazon's extensive logistics infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and evaluate innovative optimization models for complex supply chain problems. Research and implement cutting-edge techniques from academia and industry. Collaborate with product managers and engineers to integrate models into large-scale production systems. Establish scalable data analysis and model validation processes. Qualifications

3+ years of experience building models for business applications. PhD or Master's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience in CS, CE, ML, or related fields. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python. Experience with algorithms, data structures, optimization, or related areas. Preferred Skills

Applied experience with operational research, machine learning, or statistical methodologies. Experience translating theoretical models into practical solutions.
