Federal Property and Buildings Team
and contribute to a growing organization that meets client objectives and solves challenges. Your Impact Coordinate, review, and approve electrical design plans, ensuring data integrity and compliance with all applicable codes, ordinances, and regulations. Apply advanced electrical engineering techniques to improve project phases including concept development, preliminary and final design, procurement, construction, and operation. Plan and incorporate future-ready techniques, safety measures, and design requirements for end-users, systems, and infrastructure. Manage the design and construction of electrical systems from project inception to completion. Oversee cross-functional engineering teams managing budgets, hours, expenses, technical calculations, and compliance documentation. Prepare data visualizations, reports, sketches, calculations, and presentations for complex data interpretation and communication. Develop technical reports and presentations to address design and construction issues or opportunities. Manage client relationships and contribute technical expertise to pursuit efforts. Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and perform additional responsibilities as needed. Who You Are Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology. 10+ years of relevant post-education experience as an electrical engineer. Professional Engineering license. Ability to pass security background checks; US citizenship required. Extensive knowledge of electrical design, especially in the DOD industry, with experience with DOD criteria such as FC 1-300-9N, UFC 3-501-01, and UFC 3-550-01. Proficiency with electrical engineering principles, practices, design/build, and permitting processes. Experience with electrical planning, design, and construction management. Knowledge of relevant laws, codes, regulations, and record-keeping requirements. Strong technical computation skills and ability to interpret plans and specifications. Proficiency with design software (Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Navisworks, SKM, ETAP, AGI 32, etc.) and office tools. Effective coordination and leadership abilities to ensure safety and efficiency. Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company policies. Flexibility to work varying schedules and travel as needed. Ability to obtain a US Government Secret Security Clearance. Preferred Qualifications Active US Government Secret Security Clearance. Experience managing projects of various sizes. Additional certifications like LEED AP and PMP.
