Position Overview Our Federal Group seeks a Senior Process Engineer to support our expanding work in DOE and DOD energetics production facilities. The ideal candidate will: Have experience with energetics or explosives system design (synthesis, handling, mixing, charging) Apply explosive-safety requirements into designs Be experienced in project execution from initial process studies through detailed design and EPC project execution Understand project development steps and required detail levels Develop PFDs, P&IDs, equipment sizing, specifications, and process data Demonstrate leadership within a multidisciplinary project team Support process modeling using Aspen, Hysys, ChemCAD, or Excel Assist business development with estimates and proposals This role requires a problem-solver capable of adapting standard techniques and devising new approaches. Travel up to 25% may be required. Qualifications Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering or related from an ABET-accredited program with 7+ years of process engineering experience; EPC experience preferred Or, Bachelor's in Engineering Technology with FE exam and 7+ years of experience Or, Master's in Chemical Engineering with 6+ years of experience 10+ years of energetics/explosives experience preferred Expertise in engineering techniques, process design codes (ASME, ANSI, API, PIP, NACE) Proficiency with Microsoft Office and process simulation software (Hysys, Aspen, HTRI) Excellent communication skills Experience leading discipline design for large projects and team delegation Critical thinking and analytical skills Attention to detail, facilitation, organization, problem-solving Ability to review engineering documents Ability to travel PE license preferred Ability to obtain and maintain DoE or DoD security clearance Compensation $145,000 - $220,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications, including base salary and potential bonuses.
